Canada. Have you been? Is a road trip your idea of heaven? Do you dream about the Canadian wilderness and are you a fan of Virgin River and Mable syrup? Are you keen on epic adventures? Then Canada might just be the thing for you.
I’m delighted to be working closely with Kristi, a wonderful human who is actually Canadian and loves nothing more advising and curating Canadian itineraries. She really is an expert and knows the country like the back of her hand.
Here’s something completely obvious, but I’m saying it anyway — Canada is huge. Not in a “Gosh, it might take a while to get from A to B”, but as in a “Wowzer, this land is ginormous and there’s so much to see and do!” From the cute shores of Lake Ontario to the icy wilderness of the Northwest Passage, Canada is brimming with history and jaw-dropping scenery.
Take it from me. A jaunt through Western Canada is outdoorsy adventure on a stick. There’s whale watching. Black bears. Climbing. Biking. Hiking and Sailing. And the colours of the landscape are just extraordinary.
Banff, Jasper, Whistler and Vancouver – you can do all 4 in one epic journey. You can witness humpbacks, track grizzlies, view sea otters, zipline, go rock climbing, horse riding and for those who don’t want to get out of breath jut suck in those gob-smacking views.
Lake Louise is like something out of a storybook with it’s milky blue waters and majestic peaks. You can explore it all – by canoe, horseback, helicopter or all three!
Cruising through the Rockies, you’ll feel like you’re on top of the world. And when you hit the Icefields Parkway, prepare yourself for some serious WOW moments. Glaciers, lakes, meadows which are teeming with wildlife! Caribou, wolves, mountain goats, bears and moose. Oh and if you have small humans why not lace up those boots, hit the trails or conquer a peak or two?
