LET'S TALK

full fat - Please! This year has felt like proper full fat post-Covid travel, as destinations like Africa earlier in the year and more recently Sri Lanka and Japan have re-opened. I still feel slightly hysterical with joy that I am able to plan and send people away on trips. Despite the hiccups seen earlier in the year with airport disruption and flight routes changing … all is well.

who - Do I look after? Travel-wise we are inundated with “Go here, and this will change your life” points of view. Where “Google” is King and “Alexa” reigns supreme as the Queen of knowledge. There are acres and acres of inspiration … feeds … breath-taking images … all reeling us in with different ideas of “Holiday Heaven”. Dive in, drink it all up. When you and I meet I’d love to share stories. But people are wary of burrowing down a never-ending internet rabbit hole and in particular people come to me looking for inspiration and intimate knowledge of properties that avoid those feelings of “we have to keep up”, or because it’s “so now”. Yes we all love a Google search but what my clients are looking for is that personal one-to-one service which is twinned with first-hand access to extraordinary hotels, in-demand resorts, local tips and concierge. Island buy-outs and private jets if they so desire.

as - A Private Client Manager I can provide that access and with some of the most high-profile connections and relationships in the industry and secure exclusive access to the most sought-after places and people.

my trips - Are special. Working with me means there is no such thing as a typical itinerary. I have seen a real trend with my clients wanting to do something out of the ordinary. Less is also more so my client’s trips have been multi-layered and faceted. Over the summer I planned a joint 60th birthday celebratory safari in South Africa. The main requirement was to celebrate family and friends. The holiday began with close family in Madagascar and ended up at an exclusive lodge in South Africa. The geek in me adores planning and being creative. Alongside traditional game drives I planned a rich detailed itinerary which included surprise sun downers in the bush, a private whiskey tasting, a birthday dinner, trekking and spa appointments. I take care of all the tiny details. Their luggage was sent ahead of time so they didn’t carry surplus luggage in Madagascar and personalised gifts were arranged for all the group. Because Covid restrictions were still very much a thing, contingency arrangements were considered in case the family were not able to enter either Madagascar or South Africa.

did you know? - Every trip I arrange is individually curated. I love to inject a sense of fun, personality and stability! Over Easter, I organised an extraordinary multi-generational ski holiday in the Dolomites. We chose an exclusive recently renovated luxury chalet in Arabba on the Sellaronda offering privacy, private land, heliport, cinema and wellness area. The group were a mix of older teenagers their parents and friends and the five days away were relaxed, fun and action packed. The “grown-up” guests arrived by private helicopter and every one was blown away by the chalet and attention to detail. Guests enjoyed private ski guides in mixed ability groups, a cocktail master class, private dinners and ended with a private boat tour in Venice.
